Our experience tells us that people don't resist change; they resist it when they don't understand why the change is necessary or what the consequences are of not changing.

You must build a credible and compelling business case for change: What external and internal factors are driving the need to change the business you are in or the way you do business? What would likely happen in the next 3-5 years if you don't make any changes? Is this acceptable? Desirable? All that’s possible? How can this be communicated in a way that develops a sense of urgency, without creating a sense of panic?
